Key Responsibilities- Perform diagnostic radiographic and CT procedures, operating imaging equipment and positioning patients appropriately
- Apply principles of radiation protection and calculate exposure factors for each procedure
- Evaluate radiographs and CT images for technical quality, exercising professional judgment throughout
- Assess and attend to the physical and psychological needs of patients across all age groups, from newborns to geriatric patients
- Recognize signs and symptoms of emergencies, initiate life support measures as necessary, and assist physicians with contrast media administration
- Maintain IV skills, contribute to patient records, support quality assurance programs, and assist in the clinical education of student technologists
Required Qualifications- Active Radiologic Technology Certification required
- ARRT registration in Radiography required
- Minimum of 1 year of CT experience
- Proficiency with EMR systems; experience with Cerner is a plus (transition to EPIC anticipated)
- Ability to perform and evaluate CT and radiographic procedures independently
- Knowledge of aseptic technique, contrast media reactions, and appropriate emergency response protocols
Preferred Experience / Skills- Experience working with diverse patient populations across varying age groups and social backgrounds
- Prior travel assignment experience in a radiology or CT setting
