Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Flexible shifts including First and Second shift coverage, 10-hour shifts, Weekends and Holidays required
Key Responsibilities
Operate CT scanning equipment, select appropriate computer and technical factors, and produce cross-sectional images of patients' internal organs and tissues for diagnostic purposes
Review physician orders for accuracy prior to examination, coordinate scheduling, and enter patient data and charges into the Meditech Computer System
Assess patients and apply proper positioning techniques and exposure settings to optimize image quality, including taking appropriate precautions for women of childbearing age and pregnant patients
Administer contrast materials and ensure accurate contrast injection procedures are followed for optimum contrast enhancement
Ensure all images meet diagnostic quality standards, include required demographic information, measurements, and anatomical data, and are processed and printed correctly
Maintain a safe environment for patients by adhering to radiation safety protocols, fall prevention practices, infection control standards, and all applicable regulatory requirements
Required Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program or equivalent
Minimum of 1 year of CT experience
Massachusetts DPH Radiology License required
ARRT (R) certification required
ARRT (CT) certification preferred; must be obtained within two years of hire
