    Job Description

    AlliedTravelCareers is working with Jackson HealthPros to find a qualified CT Tech in Hoboken, New Jersey, 07030!

    We’re seeking an experienced CT Tech for a permanent role with an area outpatient healthcare client in Hoboken, NJ where you’ll be responsible for accurately interpreting a physician’s scanning instructions, skillfully administering contrast materials, and expertly operating CT scan equipment.


    Minimum Requirements:

    • Current ARRT(N) and ARRT(CT) with State Nuclear Medicine License required, or current ARRT(R) certification.
    • Must have BLS certification.
    • Must have venipuncture certification/permit.
    • Requires a high school diploma or GED.
    • 1 year experience preferred as a CT Technologist.
    • Experience performing contrast administration and operating power injectors.
    • Experience assisting radiologists with imaging and interventional procedures, including starting IVs.
    • Experience producing high quality diagnostic CT images and applying radiation safety (ALARA) practices.

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Perform complex specialized tasks associated with CT scanner operation and related equipment following prescribed radiation safety procedures.
    • Position patients for CT scans using immobilization and protective equipment as necessary.
    • Assist radiologist with imaging and interventional procedures, start IVs, and inject contrast when indicated.
    • Evaluate CT scans for technical quality, collate processed images in sequence, and transmit appropriately to PACS.
    • Administer contrast safely and effectively and operate power injectors for contrast media administration.
    • Maintain accurate patient records and monitor patient well-being during scans, recognizing discomfort or medical problems and taking appropriate action.
    • Provide orientation and training to new CT technologists.
    • Produce high quality diagnostic images in a timely manner while providing professional patient care.
    • Document and report any over-exposures and advise management immediately.
