CT Technologist – Computed Tomography (Nights)

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor CT equipment; transfer and position patients using accepted safety and lifting standards, applying immobilization devices as necessary
• Obtain patient identification, allergy history, and pertinent medical history prior to procedures
• Prepare and administer contrast media intravenously per radiologist protocol; monitor patients for allergic reactions and respond appropriately, including providing basic CPR in emergency situations
• Capture, store, transfer, and archive electronic/digital images; maintain permanent image files and records for each patient
• Perform daily equipment calibration and quality control; maintain image quality in accordance with department guidelines and ensure proper equipment repair is completed
• Assist radiologists and physician specialists with specialized radiological procedures; review and document pertinent patient history to support diagnostic interpretation

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of CT experience required
• Experience with Philips CT equipment required
• ARRT certification required
• BLS certification required
• Must adhere to radiation safety standards and regulations as set forth by applicable state health authorities
• Candidates with a permanent address within 35 miles of the facility are considered local travelers and may be subject to an adjusted travel rate

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel/contract assignment experience preferred
• Experience with Cerner EMR preferred
• Skills checklist completed within the past year preferred
