AlliedTravelCareers is working with Aequor to find a qualified CT Tech in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, 73112!

Short CT Tech is responsible to prep the patient for diagnostic procedures, explaining scans, position pt to capture appropriate images and operates equipment to produce cross-section images of bones, organs and tissue. On Call (5% of BR) 55 hrs/weekend Complete all required paperwork in a timely manner. Understands and completes necessary requisitions for ordered exams in a timely manner. Schedules all exams timely. Performs diagnostic Radiographic/Fluoroscopic C-arm exams on patients in the department and with portable equipment. Demonstrates the ability to inject IV contrast media as needed. Performs a variety of examinations, reconstructions, and various printing protocols by the Radiologist. Identifies various types of mechanical and electronic equipment failures in order to accurately diagnose problems with radiographic machines and processors. Explains the procedure to the patient and answers any questions related to the equipment or the procedure in general. Properly moves and transports patient to and from department as required. Orders necessary supplies and maintains par levels. Treats all patients, guests, coworkers, and physicians with courtesy and friendliness regardless of their cultural/ethnic background, gender, orientation, or age. Attends required in-services and orientations. Works closely with floor staff and builds positive relationships in order to facilitate excellent patient care. Performs other duties as assigned.
