Delivers specialized cardiovascular and/or radiologic technology services to adult and/or pediatric patient populations across a variety of care settings, including acute inpatient, outpatient, diagnostic/urgent care, and remote outreach clinics
Prepares patients for procedures and correlates clinical history with physician-ordered procedures
Operates highly specialized cardiovascular and/or radiologic equipment to perform diagnostic, interventional, and/or surgical procedures in accordance with established scope of practice guidelines
Conducts post-procedure reviews to confirm completion, documentation, and technical quality consistent with department protocols and accreditation standards
Transfers images and data to appropriate archival systems and prepares studies for physician reporting
Performs operator-level quality control, cleaning, high-level disinfection, and user maintenance per manufacturer and regulatory guidelines
Required Qualifications
Graduate of a CAAHEP-accredited program with emphasis in a cardiovascular specialty, OR a JRCERT-accredited program with emphasis in radiologic technology
Must meet applicant eligibility requirements for CT Certification (ARRT); certification must be achieved within 12 months of hire date
AHA BLS certification required
Core knowledge of normal and abnormal anatomy and physiology, cardiovascular and/or radiologic technologies, and associated terminology
Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team, follow instructions, and report to work consistently and dependably as scheduled
Preferred Experience / Skills
Associate's degree or higher in a related field
Experience applying cardiovascular and/or radiologic technology principles including patient positioning, medical imaging, and medical terminology
Demonstrated ability to post-process, analyze, and annotate study data with minimal supervision
