Key Responsibilities- Conduct CT procedures to acquire and analyze patient diagnostic data, including obtaining images per protocol and performing multi-planar and 3D reconstruction of image data.
- Verify patient identification, obtain patient history, document pregnancy status for patients of childbearing age, and ensure patient safety throughout all procedures.
- Administer oral and intravenous contrast to adult and pediatric patients per protocol, establish IV lines, and verify contrast eligibility and appropriate lab values prior to injection.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of PACS; transmit, verify, and segment images; complete, modify, or cancel orders accurately and in a timely manner to ensure proper charge capture.
- Produce quality diagnostic images, review patient charts and reports for correlation, and maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
- Precept new employees and students, document incidents as improvement opportunities, and participate in challenging procedures and new research initiatives.
Required Qualifications- Completion of an accredited educational program in Radiological Science.
- Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiological Sciences (ARRT) or be registry eligible; registry-eligible candidates must provide a copy of their diploma from an accredited program.
- Advanced certification in CT required.
- Registry-eligible candidates must obtain full registration within one year of employment and maintain registry status and continuing education requirements annually.
- Current competency in HCP Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
