Travel CT Tech / Radiology Tech – Freestanding Emergency Department

Contract – Travel | 13 Weeks | Nights: Monday–Thursday, 8:00 PM–6:30 AM | 36 Hours per Week
Key Responsibilities
Perform CT and general X-ray imaging in a high-acuity, 12-bed freestanding emergency department setting
Operate GE Optima CT scanner and GE portable X-ray equipment independently
Document patient imaging information using Meditech and Sectra systems
Support a fast-paced environment averaging 80+ patients per day, with surge volumes exceeding 100 patients during peak periods
Provide single-staff coverage across both CT and X-ray modalities as required
Assist with standard emergency radiology procedures; no surgical procedures or biopsies performed on unit
Required Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of experience in a hospital setting
Active Virginia Radiologic Technology license or compact license – must be in hand at time of submission
ARRT certification required
ARRT-CT certification required
Current CPR certification required
Ability to work independently and provide coverage across both CT and X-ray modalities
Preferred Experience / Skills
Experience with Acute Stroke Ready protocols and workflows
Comfort working with moderate pediatric patient volumes in an emergency setting
Strong professional communication and patient-facing interpersonal skills
