Schedule / Job TypeContract | Nights | Friday – Sunday, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | On-call required (2–3 call shifts per month); holiday coverage per unit needs
Key Responsibilities- Confirm patient identity and exam verification prior to initiating scans, adhering strictly to department policy and procedure for patient safety
- Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging services
- Prepare patients for scans and explain procedures to promote comfort and understanding
- Insert IVs when necessary and position patients appropriately, utilizing safe patient handling techniques
- Maintain accurate patient records by documenting all necessary components within EPIC, identifying images, and ensuring images are sent to the PACS system correctly upon exam completion
- Maintain a clean and safe scanning environment
Required Qualifications- Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology with active ARRT certification
- Active New York State licensure (must be obtained prior to start); injection therapy certification must be reflected on NYS license at time of submission
- Minimum of two (2) years of CT Technologist experience
- Level 1 Trauma Center experience
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association only
- Telemetry experience
Preferred Experience / Skills- Injection certification preferred; candidates must be willing to complete certification during the orientation process if not already obtained
- Knowledge of Philips and Siemens imaging equipment preferred
- Effective written and verbal communication skills with a patient and compassionate disposition
