Description:
X-Ray/CT Radiologic Technologist needed for permanent placement.
Must have CT experience listed on work history and be comfortable working with CT scan procedures.
Shift varies with 8-hour shifts and occasional half days.
On-call requirements include a 15-minute response window.
Calls are required two weeknights a week (Monday-Thursday, 5:30 PM to 7:00 AM) and every third to fourth weekend (Friday, 5:30 PM to Monday, 7:00 AM).
Holidays will be on a rotating basis with staff.
Applicants must be CPR certified.
Graduates of a formal accredited Radiologic Technologist Program are preferred.
Position requires obtaining and maintaining 24 CEU credits every two years.
Candidates must possess the ability to relate positively with co-workers, patients, and the public.
Confidentiality must be maintained at all times.
Ability to work with minimal supervision and seek guidance when necessary is required.
Open to change and willing to learn new things.
Must be available for on-call purposes during nights and weekends.
Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines is essential.
Candidates must work well under pressure and demonstrate tact and patience in tough situations.
Problem-solving skills and the ability to address patient/customer complaints are required.
Respect and sensitivity for cultural and ethnic diversity of patients is necessary.
Organization, efficiency, reliability, and dependability are essential qualities.
Ability to give and receive constructive feedback is expected.
Support for co-workers is necessary.
Candidates must perform and document all QA/QC as required by governing boards.
Knowledge of and ability to operate X-Ray machines, portable units, DEXA, and CT equipment is required.
Responsibilities include acquiring optimum quality images while maintaining safe and professional care for patients.
Excellent customer service and strict confidentiality must be prioritized.
Candidates are responsible for the daily operations of the Imaging department, patient scheduling, equipment maintenance, and reporting equipment failures.
The typical staffing includes 3-4 Radiologic Technologists in the department.
No specific scrub colors are required.
