Key Responsibilities
- Perform all CT procedures under general supervision, operating computed tomography and radiography equipment to obtain quality diagnostic images
- Prepare patients for examination, position patients appropriately, and adjust imaging equipment to correct settings using ALARA principles
- Assist physicians during procedures with medical equipment, instruments, and the administration of contrast materials and medications, utilizing sterile technique when applicable
- Transfer image data to PACS and V-RAD environments for physician review and interpretation
- Draw blood and introduce IVs according to established procedures; maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and proper stocking of the work area
- Assist in scheduling and flow of CT examinations and participate in instruction of radiologic technology students and in-service education programs as required
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of recent CT Technologist experience
- Active American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- COVID vaccination required; declinations are not accepted
- Previous travel assignment experience required
- Must be fully flexible with scheduling; candidates with scheduling restrictions will not be considered
- Ability to maintain accurate records and technical notations as required by regulatory agencies
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience assisting with a high volume of CT procedures in an acute care or hospital setting
- Familiarity with PACS systems and radiology information systems
- Experience providing instruction or training to radiology students or ancillary personnel
