Key Responsibilities- Prepare for and perform CT examinations while operating assigned equipment safely and as instructed.
- Evaluate diagnostic images for technical quality and develop, initiate, and monitor procedures for effective scanner utilization.
- Perform IV access using sterile technique and administer contrast media under physician supervision.
- Maintain cleanliness of the scanner and associated equipment in accordance with infection control policies and procedures.
- Utilize the current EMR system efficiently and complete required documentation for each examination performed.
- Lift and transfer patients using safe ergonomic techniques, including hydraulic lifts and other safe patient handling devices, and communicate with patients' family members or caregivers as needed.
Required Qualifications- ARRT certification required.
- Washington State certification as a Radiologic Technologist, registered in X-Ray and CT.
- BLS certification required.
- Experience with Shimadzu portable equipment.
- Experience with Rad Speed Pro, GE/OEC C-arms in an OR setting, and Toshiba CT scanner.
- EPIC EMR experience required.
Preferred Experience / Skills- Experience adhering to universal blood and body substance precautions and personal protective equipment requirements.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuing education as required by regulatory entities.
