Job Summary: The Computed Tomography Technologist I is responsible for performing work assignments effectively with and without direct supervision. This role involves preparing patients for procedures, operating CT equipment, ensuring compliance with radiation safety regulations, and assisting radiologists or physicians as needed. The technician must maintain proficiency in cardiopulmonary resuscitation and first-aid care, as well as demonstrate clinical knowledge and skills in the care of patients across all age groups.

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent
• Graduation from a two-year program in radiologic technology approved by the Council in Medical Education of the American Medical Association
• Certification by the State of California, Department of Health Services, as a Radiologic Technologist
• Certification by the American Registry of Radiological Technologist (ARRT) as a Radiologic Technologist and Computed Tomography Technologist (ARRT ID required)
• Satisfactory completion of formal computed tomography training program (one year) or equivalent on-the-job experience
• Possession and maintenance of a current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) card

Preferred Qualifications:

• Equivalent on-the-job experience in computed tomography

• Pay range: $58/hr - $86/hr
