Job Summary:
The Cat Scan Technologist performs computer tomography procedures and related techniques, producing sectional and three-dimensional images for interpretation and assists with interventional and therapeutic procedures. Responsibilities include performing complex CT procedures, reviewing and documenting patient clinical history, preparing and screening contrast questionnaires, administering contrast media, verifying prescriptions, and ensuring diagnostic value of radiographs. The technologist will also monitor patient conditions during procedures, perform venipuncture, and adhere to organizational standards and policies.

Required Qualifications:
• Knowledge of anatomy and physiology and radiological positioning of the human body
• Understanding mechanical attributes of CT software and hardware
• Thorough knowledge of PACS system
• Maintains CEU Credits
• ARRT (CT) certification within twelve months of hire
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification within three months of hire

Preferred Qualifications:
• Six months CT experience
• Knowledge of Epic and any HIS/RIS system added by the hospital

Required Education:
• Graduate of a Radiologic Technologist program
• High School diploma or equivalent

Required Certifications & Licensure:
• NJ DEP Diagnostic Radiography License
• ARRT Certified R.T.(R) license
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification

Preferred Certifications & Licensure:
• ARRT certified R.T. (CT) license
