Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with 2+ years of experience and current ARRT(CT) certification to work across ED, inpatient, and outpatient settings.

Details

• Level II Trauma Center serving adult and pediatric acute care and outpatient populations
• Work in the Emergency Department, main campus, outpatient, and nearby clinics with floating required between these areas
• 7 on/7 off schedule with shift options of 3x12s (1930-0800) or 4x10s (2130-0800) nights
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Uses GE CT equipment and PACS
• Epic EMR required
• No call requirement for this position

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in CT specialty required
• ARRT (CT) certification required
• BLS certification required
• Experience in ED, inpatient, and outpatient settings required
• Epic EMR experience required
• GE equipment experience required
• Proficiency in 3D rendering, multiplanar reconstruction (MPR), and region of interest (ROI) measurement
• Skilled in contrast media preparation and administration, peripheral IV starts, and venipuncture
• Knowledge of radiation safety and isolation precautions/PPE
• Current NURSYS report required for consideration
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Unit does not accept first-time travelers
• Must work assigned shift if it falls on a holiday
• Orientation held 5 days a week
• RTO must be finalized and discussed during the interview process
• Candidates must live 65+ miles from the facility to be considered
• Previous Ochsner employees must have a 1-year separation before returning as a travel contractor
• Perform CT imaging across abdomen/pelvis, chest, head/neck, spine/musculoskeletal, and vascular studies
• May perform advanced procedures such as CT arthrography, coronary CTA, and vascular CTA
