EVENING-SHIFT MRI TECHNOLOGIST CONTRACT – ASCENSION VIA CHRISTI ST. JOSEPH

First Connect Health has an immediate 13-week travel contract opening for an experienced Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (MRI Tech) in Wichita, Kansas. Operating within the specialized imaging department at Ascension Via Christi St. Joseph (3600 E Harry St campus), this position features a stable 5x8 evening schedule (14:30 PM - 23:00 PM / 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM, Monday through Friday). NO ON-CALL REQUIRED! SHIFT & POSITION DETAILS

• Schedule: Evening shifts, 5x8-Hours (14:30 PM - 23:00 PM / 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM, Monday – Friday).
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 regular hours guaranteed weekly.
• On-Call Requirements:NO ON-CALL REQUIRED!
• Department & Setting: Radiology - MRI 001 / Unit: Magnetic Resonance Imaging 002 (35190) located at Ascension Via Christi St. Joseph.
• Clinical Scope & Procedures: Performing routine and complex diagnostic MRI examinations; neuro (brain/spine), musculoskeletal (joints/extremities), abdomen/pelvis, and MR Angiography (MRA) studies. Screening patients for magnetic field contraindications/implants, managing IV contrast administration when ordered, positioning, selecting appropriate coils, and optimizing scan sequences for radiologist review.

REQUISITE QUALIFICATIONS FOR SUBMISSION

• Experience: Minimum 1–2 years of dedicated clinical MRI Technologist experience in an acute care hospital or high-volume outpatient imaging environment.
• Licensure: Valid Kansas Radiologic Technologist / LRT License in hand (via Kansas State Board of Healing Arts).
• Certifications Required:
  • ARRT Certification with MR credential: ARRT(MR) or ARRT(R)(MR).
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Onboarding Clearances: Standard Ascension medical imaging compliance package (12-panel drug screen, core competencies, background screening, and health history/vaccinations).
