Schedule
Monday to Friday with varying shifts of either 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM or 9:30 AM - 6:30 PM. No weekends, no call, and no holidays.
Job Description
The Nuclear Medicine Technologist will review patient history and physician's orders, educate patients regarding procedures, and perform imaging procedures. Responsibilities include positioning patients, ensuring proper imaging techniques, analyzing results, and monitoring patient conditions. The technologist will also manage radiopharmaceuticals according to established protocols and maintain an appropriate inventory of supplies.
Responsibilities
- Review patient information and physician's orders.
- Educate patients about procedures and ensure understanding.
- Position patients and conduct imaging procedures.
- Analyze imaging results and resolve quality issues.
- Manage radiopharmaceuticals according to regulations.
- Continuously monitor patient conditions and report changes as necessary.
- Maintain inventory in Clinical Nuclear Medicine rooms.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- CT certification and PET/CT experience.
- ARRT CT certification or CNMT certification by NMTCB.
- New York State License.
- BLS certification (American Heart Association).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
