Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate CT Technologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing CT scans while ensuring patient comfort and safety. This role requires effective communication with patients and medical staff to facilitate accurate diagnostic imaging.

Responsibilities
  • Confirm patient identity and exam verification prior to initiating the scan.
  • Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging.
  • Prepare patients for scans and explain the procedure to help them feel comfortable.
  • Insert IVs when necessary for the test.
  • Position patients accordingly, including lifting or moving patients with limited mobility.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and assure images are sent to the PACS system correctly upon exam completion.
  • Keep a clean and safe scanning facility.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
  • Current HCP registration in NYS with injection therapy certification.
  • Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology.
  • Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • NYS licensure (must obtain prior to starting position).
  • Two years of experience, preferably in a Level 1 Trauma Center.
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Injection certification preferred; must be willing to complete during orientation process.
  • Knowledge of Philips and Siemens equipment preferred.
