Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with 2+ years of current CT experience and ARRT (CT) certification for an 8-hour afternoon shift assignment in a teaching hospital radiology department.

Details

• Radiology department in a 298-bed teaching hospital offering a full continuum of medical specialties
• Combined CT/X-ray technologist role, primarily focused on CT with X-ray coverage also required
• 8-hour afternoon shift, Monday-Friday, 3:00 PM-11:30 PM
• Holiday coverage required if needed
• On-call possible
• Meditech Expanse EMR experience highly preferred

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years current CT experience required
• ARRT (CT) certification required
• Active AHA BLS certification required
• Massachusetts Radiology license required (License required if applicable)
• Skills checklist for Computed Tomography current within 1 year required
• One supervisory signed reference from within the past two years of employment required
• Ability to function independently and proficiently in a high stress, work-intensive environment
• Must have own vehicle for this assignment

Additional Information

• Perform a wide variety of technical procedures requiring independent judgment and critical thinking
• Apply appropriate skills to facilitate diagnosis, including IV insertion and injections for CT and radiology tasks
• May assume supervisory or instructional responsibilities for department personnel as assigned by leadership
• Operate and troubleshoot CR, DR, CT, PACS, HIS, and RIS systems
• Practice infection control per departmental and OSHA standards and maintain patient confidentiality
• Complete annual mandatory education including bloodborne pathogens and infection control
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required, including use of Tiger Text
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility will not be considered
• No more than 5 days of requested time off will be accepted, and must be submitted prior to offer
