LanceSoft is seeking a travel CT Technologist for a travel job in Watsonville, California.

Job Description & Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform CT scans according to physician orders and departmental protocols.
  • Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process and addressing any concerns.
  • Position patients correctly to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
  • Administer contrast media as required while monitoring patients for adverse reactions.
  • Operate and maintain CT imaging equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Evaluate image quality and repeat scans when necessary to ensure diagnostic accuracy.
  • Follow radiation safety practices to minimize patient and staff exposure.
  • Monitor patient condition before, during, and after imaging procedures.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare providers to ensure timely and accurate diagnostic services.
  • Perform routine quality assurance and equipment checks.
  • Adhere to hospital policies, HIPAA regulations, and infection prevention standards.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
  • Minimum 2 years of recent CT Technologist experience in a hospital or acute care setting.
  • Experience with trauma, emergency, inpatient, and outpatient imaging preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and CT imaging protocols.
  • Excellent communication, critical thinking, and patient care skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
