Position: Cat Scan Tech / CT Technologist
Location: Morristown, NJ
Status: Urgent need — candidates must be available ASAP
Hours: Sunday–Tuesday, 10 AM–11 PM
Main responsibilities
- Performing CT scans according to established protocols.
- Preparing and positioning patients.
- Starting IVs/performing venipuncture.
- Administering contrast using a power injector according to protocol.
- Screening patients for allergies and medication incompatibilities.
- Monitoring patients before and after contrast administration.
- Responding appropriately to emergencies and complications.
- Performing trauma, partial trauma, and Code Grey CT examinations.
- Processing and sending images through PACS/RIS.
- Immediately notifying the radiologist when required.
- Maintaining CT equipment and scanning rooms.
- Performing daily/monthly QA/QC and meeting ACR requirements.
- Maintaining supplies, contrast media, linens, and inventory.
- Reporting equipment problems or unusual findings.
- Following HIPAA, patient-safety, infection-control, and radiation-safety requirements.
- Coordinating workflow when assigned as the Point Technologist.
Required qualifications
The important requirements are:
Education
- High school diploma/GED.
- Completion of a Radiography/Radiologic Technology program from an accredited school or college.
Certifications/licenses:
- ARRT RT(R)
- ARRT RT(CT)
- NJDEP New Jersey State X-Ray License
- BLS/CPR certification
- Current CT registration/certification.
- Venipuncture experience/competency.
