Travel or Local Allied Healthcare Professional needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available

CT Technologist - CT Tech X-ray



Job Details:


• Provide healthcare services by applying x-ray energy to assist in diagnosis or treatment

• Perform radiographic procedures and related techniques to produce images for interpretation

• Perform computed tomography and related procedures to demonstrate sectional anatomic images

• Exercise professional judgment in performance of services and maintain appropriate medical ethics

• Corroborate patient's clinical history with procedures and ensure documentation is available

• Prepare patients for procedures and provide instructions to minimize anxiety and gain cooperation

• Select and operate radiography equipment and associated devices to achieve desired results

• Position patient and equipment to best demonstrate anatomic area of interest

• Immobilize patients as required for appropriate examination

• Determine radiographic technique exposure factors while minimizing patient exposure

• Evaluate images for technical quality and ensure proper identification is recorded

• Verify informed consent and assist licensed practitioners with interventional procedures

• Practice aseptic techniques as necessary and provide for patients' physical and emotional needs

• Prepare, identify, and administer contrast media and medications as prescribed

• Initiate basic life support action when necessary

• Operate computed tomographic equipment and accessories

• Understand methods and perform venipunctures

• Maintain archival storage of digitized data and observe universal precautions

• Complete computed tomography skills check covering head, spine, chest, abdominal and pelvis anatomy

• Required: Associate or bachelor's degree from accredited Radiologic Technology program

• Required: OBMI and ARRT registered CT technologist certification, current BLS certification

• Preferred: CRASE training (required if assignment extends beyond 6 months)

• May be floated to other departments where qualified before core staff is floated
