Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, CVICU – Tyler, TX 75701
Start Date: August 25, 2026
Location: Tyler, Texas
Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM). Patient ratio 1:2. 91-day assignment with 36 hours of orientation.
Highlights:
- Coronary Care Unit specializing in cardiovascular intensive care
- Epic charting system in a 10-bed unit with average daily census of 7 patients
- Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and physical therapy
- Opportunity to utilize advanced critical care skills including ECMO, IABP, cardiac drips, and post-cardiac surgery care
- Adult and geriatric patient population requiring complex cardiovascular interventions
Requirements:
- Active RN license (state or compact license required at time of submission)
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience preferred
- Previous travel nursing experience preferred
- Experience with Epic charting system required
- Proficiency in critical care skills including arterial line management, ventilator care, central line management, continuous IV sedation, ECMO, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, IABP, pulmonary artery line monitoring, and titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips
- Must complete core onboarding items and labs within 48 hours of contract signing
- Geographic restrictions apply for certain local counties
