Job Details:
**Experience and Skills Required:** - Must have ACT Activated Clotting Time experience. - Must be experienced in direct fresh open-heart admissions from OR, pressure monitoring, Swan-Ganz management, Impella monitoring, CRRT. - Minimum of 2+ years RN experience required. - Experience with arterial line management, chest tube insertion/removal, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, ventilated patient care, central line care/management, continuous IV sedation, CVA/acute stroke management, CVVHD/CRRT, Impella, infection prevention, interpretation of ABGs, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, intra-aortic balloon pump, multisystem organ dysfunction/failure management, PICC line management, post-cardiac surgery care, pre/post cardiac cath/intervention, procedural sedation administration/monitoring, sheath removal, IV initiation and maintenance, suctioning (ETT, NT), surgical ICU, titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips, TAVR, valve repair/replacement, ventricular assist device, direct open-heart admission. **Certifications Required:** - ACLS, BCLS (must be through the American Heart Association, AHA) - NIH - PALS (if required by the unit) **Preferred Experience:** - Charting system experience in Cerner. **Licensure:** - WV or Compact License required; pending license accepted for submission. **Other Requirements:** - Minimum two Manager/Charge Nurse references from the past two years. - Previous travel experience is not required. - Candidate must have a permanent address 100 miles from the facility; candidates between 75-100 miles may be considered on a case-by-case basis. **Leadership Experience:** - Previous charge experience is not specified as required. **Submission Requirements:** - Candidate profile, specialty-specific skills checklist, RN License verification (NURSYs), and all certifications must be included in the submission packet. **Additional Details:** - Not required to have COVID-19 vaccine but flu vaccine is required with medical exemptions possible. - Current Vandalia Health System employees are not eligible for travel contracts within the health system. - Orientation requires completion of non-billable modules, averaging 8 hours, prior to the start date.
