Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, CVICU – Tulsa, OK 74104
Start Date: August 24, 2026
Location: Tulsa, Oklahoma
Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (18:45 - 07:15). Every other weekend required. 13-week assignment with 36 hours of orientation.
Highlights:
- First-time travelers welcome in this supportive Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit
- 2:1 patient ratio for all shifts, providing optimal patient care delivery
- 24-bed unit with daily census of 20 patients, caring for adults and geriatric populations
- Mix of cardiac surgical and cardiac medical patients with occasional adult medical ICU overflow
- Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy
- May float to MSICU, Neuro ICU, or Burn ICU as needed based on facility requirements
Requirements:
- Valid Oklahoma or Compact RN license required at time of submission
- Minimum 2 years of CVICU or critical care nursing experience
- Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
- Proficiency in critical care skills including arterial line management, ventilator care, central line management, blood product administration, BiPAP/CPAP management, CVVHD/CRRT, and titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips
- Experience with dysrhythmia interpretation and management, IV insulin protocols, CVA/acute stroke management, and care of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction
- Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility (local candidates not accepted)
