Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent CVICU or closely related critical care nursing experience
• Active Oklahoma RN license or compact RN license in hand at time of submission
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Experience caring for cardiac surgical and cardiac medical patients preferred
• Ability to work night shift travel nursing assignments in a high-acuity ICU setting
• Strong teamwork, communication, and critical thinking skills
• Comfortable floating within scope to similar ICU settings as needed

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to complex CVICU patients with cardiac and medical critical care needs
• Monitor hemodynamic status and respond quickly to changes in patient condition
• Manage ventilated patients, arterial lines, central lines, and advanced cardiac drips
• Administer and titrate vasoactive medications, insulin protocols, and continuous IV sedation as ordered
• Support care for patients with dysrhythmias, stroke, renal failure, and multisystem organ dysfunction
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory therapy, pharmacy, physical therapy, and rapid response services
• Assist with procedures such as chest tube care, sheath removal, and line management as appropriate
• Deliver safe, patient-centered care while maintaining strong attention to detail in a busy cardiovascular ICU
