Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a CVICU position in Ohio, requiring cardiac ICU experience and Epic proficiency on a night shift schedule.

Details

• Work in the Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) of an acute care hospital setting
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30)
• Patient ratio of 1:1–2
• Up to 6 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule period; Friday/Saturday nights for night shift
• Rotating holiday coverage required
• Floating required within units of equivalent or lower acuity
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active OH or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of cardiac ICU experience preferred
• Required skills: IV start, telemetry, mechanical ventilators, Swan-Ganz catheters, conscious sedation, intra-aortic balloon pumps (IABP), and PA lines
• Epic EMR experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• 2 professional references required: at least 1 from a Manager, Director, or formal leadership role (e.g., Supervisor); a Charge RN is acceptable as the second reference; co-worker references are not accepted

• Local candidates are accepted
• Former employees of this facility are eligible for a travel assignment after a minimum 6-month absence
• Requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of application and is limited to 7 days or fewer for the contract duration
• Ohio state fingerprinting is required and must be completed promptly after contract signing; candidates outside Ohio may need to travel to an in-state fingerprinting location or complete a mailed fingerprinting packet upon receipt
