Travel ICU Registered Nurse (RN) – Night Shift | Columbus, Ohio
Experienced ICU Registered Nurses are invited to join a 13-week travel nursing assignment in a high-acuity adult cardiac intensive care unit in Columbus, Ohio. Bring your critical care expertise to a collaborative, multidisciplinary team caring for complex cardiac and critically ill adult patients. Travel Nursing Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,940–$2,040

- Shift: Night shift, 7:00 p.m.–7:30 a.m.

- Floating: May be required to float to other units within the organization as needed
ICU Registered Nurse Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent intensive care unit (ICU) nursing experience
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio or a valid compact RN license in hand at the time of submission
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
- Certifications must be issued by the American Heart Association
- Recent EPIC electronic health record documentation experience is required
- Graduate of an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited nursing program
- Proficiency initiating and maintaining IVs, performing telemetry monitoring, and managing ventilators
- Ability to provide two professional references, including at least one reference from a supervisor, manager, director, or other formal leader
- Flu vaccination required; medical exemptions may be considered
Travel ICU RN Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive critical care nursing for adult patients with acute coronary syndrome, acute myocardial infarction, cardiogenic shock, decompensated heart failure, and post-interventional cardiac procedures, including TAVR
- Monitor and manage patients requiring ventilators, BiPAP/CPAP, high-flow nasal cannula, CRRT, hemodynamic monitoring, and continuous sedation
- Assess and manage arterial lines, central lines, PICC lines, pulmonary artery lines, intra-aortic balloon pumps, Impella devices, and other advanced cardiac support equipment
- Titrate cardiac, vasoactive, insulin, and other critical care infusions according to established protocols
- Interpret dysrhythmias and arterial blood gases, obtain 12-lead EKGs, and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
- Administer blood products, procedural sedation, emergency medications, and other prescribed therapies safely
- Collaborate with respiratory therapy, pharmacy, radiology, physical therapy, rapid response teams, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team
- Maintain accurate EPIC documentation while following infection prevention, isolation, and patient safety standards
