• Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30)

• Shift Duration: 12 hours
• Weekly Hours: 36
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,940 - $2,040
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• On-Call: None
• Orientation: 36 hours
• Patient Population: Adults
• Patient Ratio: 1:1-2
• Float: May be required to float to other units as needed

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience
• Active compact or state RN license in hand at time of submission
• Epic electronic medical record documentation experience required
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• AHA certifications only
• Experience with ventilators, telemetry, and IV starts
• Ability to work in a high-acuity cardiac ICU environment
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills
• Two professional references required, including at least one manager, director, or other formal leader
• Education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program preferred/required per compliance guidelines

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing care to critically ill adult patients in a cardiac ICU setting
• Monitor hemodynamic status and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
• Administer medications, titrate vasoactive drips, and manage continuous IV sedation as indicated
• Care for patients requiring ventilator support, telemetry monitoring, and advanced cardiac interventions
• Perform IV starts and maintain central line, arterial line, and other critical access devices
• Document care accurately in Epic and collaborate closely with the interdisciplinary care team
• Support patients with complex diagnoses including acute MI, cardiogenic shock, heart failure, and post-intervention care
• Participate in safe, efficient, patient-centered care while maintaining excellent clinical standards
