Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular ICU position requiring a TN or compact RN license and prior critical care experience.

Details

• Work in a high-acuity Critical Care Unit within a hospital setting
• 15-bed unit serving cardiac surgery, cardiac transplant, myocardial infarction, congestive heart failure, cardiogenic shock, cardiomyopathy, arrhythmia, post-cardiopulmonary arrest, and post-ventricular assist device placement patients
• Patient population ranges from adolescent through late adult (ages 14-60+)
• Nurse to patient ratio of 1:2
• Care team includes Registered Nurses and Patient Care Techs
• Unit also provides ICU-level care for COVID-19 patients up to ECMO support
• Night shift schedule from 18:45 to 07:15
• 13-week assignment length

Requirements

• Active TN or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of critical care nursing experience required
• Current BLS certification (AHA) required
• Current ACLS certification (AHA) required
• Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start
• Current license and primary source verification required within 30 days prior to start
• US Social Security Number and US home address required

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing to some of the most critically ill patients in the Nashville area, including patients referred from across Tennessee and beyond
• Deliver care for a variety of complex cardiothoracic surgery and neuro/neurosurgical cases
• Fast-paced, high-acuity critical care environment requiring highly motivated nurses
• Radius rule applies and may affect pay rate for local candidates
• Effective July 1, 2023, COVID vaccination is no longer required
