CVICU RN - Travel Contract
- Unit: CVICU (18-bed mixed ICU/Stepdown)
- Shift: 12-hour shifts
- Experience: Fresh open heart (preferred), minimum >6-hour post-op open heart experience
- Required Skills:
- CRRT
- Temporary pacemakers
- Acute MI pre/post cath
- Chest tubes
- Ventilator management
- Hypothermia protocol
- Arterial lines
- Critical care drip titration
- Preferred Skills:
- IABP
- Impella
- Swan-Ganz/Hemodynamic monitoring
- Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS
- Patient Ratios:
- 1:1 Fresh Hearts/Devices
- 1:2 ICU
- 1:3 Stepdown
- EMR/Monitoring: Philips telemetry; RN must interpret rhythms every 4 hours
- Weekend: Every other
- Float: ICU, ACU, Med-Surg, Tele (up to 6 patients on lower-acuity units)
- Scrubs: Royal Blue
- Orientation: 1 week
