ICU RN – Weekend Nights

Shift

• Weekend Nights: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
• Schedule Options:
  • Friday, Saturday, Sunday (36 hours/week)
  • Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday (48 hours/week)

Patient Population / Nursing Cases

This is a high-acuity Critical Care ICU caring for some of the sickest patients in the Nashville area.

Nurse Responsibilities

• Continuous cardiac and hemodynamic monitoring
• Management of ventilated patients
• Titration of vasoactive drips
• Care of post-operative cardiac surgery patients
• Neuro assessments and NIH Stroke Scale
• Management of arterial lines, central lines, and invasive monitoring
• Emergency response and rapid interventions
• Collaboration with intensivists, cardiologists, neurosurgeons, and cardiothoracic surgeons

Staffing

• Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:2
• Support staff includes Registered Nurses and Patient Care Technicians.

Required Certifications

• BLS
• ACLS
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Successful completion of a proctored cardiac rhythm (EKG) test
