Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a CVICU travel position requiring 2 years of critical care experience and ventilator/line management skills.

Details

• Work in a 16-bed Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU)
• 2:1 nurse to patient ratio with a Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) on each shift
• Uses GE monitors, EV1000, Hemispheres, CRRT (NextStage), Impella, Swan Ganz, arterial lines, chest tubes, and ventilators
• Performs hemodynamic monitoring, Swan Ganz management, arterial line care, and chest tube management
• Uses Meditech EMR
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Required to work 2 weekend shifts biweekly
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating required to Medical ICU, Neuro Surgical ICU, or Cardiac PCU

Requirements

• Active RN license (TX or Compact) required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of critical care experience (adult ICU, CVICU, Neuro ICU, or any critical care specialty)
• Ventilator management experience required
• Arterial line, central line, and chest tube management skills required
• CVICU experience, CABG recovery, CRRT, and Impella experience preferred
• Meditech EMR experience preferred
• BSN and CCRN preferred

• Collaborates within a team-oriented, collaborative care environment
• Royal blue scrubs required
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for this position
• No gaps in work history totaling 90 days or more within the past 12 months
