Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, CVICU – Tyler, TX 75701

Start Date: November 3, 2026

Location: Tyler, Texas

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00), 36 hours per week. Patient ratio 1:2. 13-week assignment with 36 hours of orientation.

Highlights:

• Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit specializing in complex cardiac and critical care patients
• 10-bed unit with average daily census of 7 patients, providing focused critical care
• Epic charting system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Advanced critical care environment treating adult and geriatric populations with multisystem organ dysfunction
• Opportunity to work with specialized equipment including ECMO, IABP, pulmonary artery lines, and cardiac drips
• Collaborative team environment with extensive support services including physical therapy, radiology, and social services

Requirements:

• Active RN license (state or compact license required at time of submission)
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of CVICU or critical care nursing experience preferred
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Experience with 1:2 patient ratios preferred
• Proficiency in arterial line management, ventilator care, central line management, continuous IV sedation, ECMO care, ABG interpretation, dysrhythmia management, IABP, and titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips
• Post-cardiac surgery patient care experience preferred
• Trauma Level I or II experience preferred
• Must complete core onboarding items and labs within 48 hours of contract signing
