Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit – Albuquerque, NM 87102

Start Date: October 26, 2026

Location: Albuquerque, New Mexico

Schedule: Night shift, 4x12-hour shifts (6:30 PM - 7:00 AM). Option of 36 or 48 hours per week. Patient ratio 1:2. Contract duration: 13 weeks.

Highlights:

• Cardiovascular intensive care unit specializing in cardiac surgery and critical care patients
• 16-bed unit with average daily census of 10 patients
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and physical therapy
• Flexible scheduling options with 36 or 48 hours per week available
• 24-hour orientation with ongoing support
• Care for adult and geriatric patient populations

Requirements:

• Active Registered Nurse license (New Mexico or Compact license accepted if obtained prior to start)
• Minimum 2 years of CVICU experience preferred
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale required at time of submission
• Experience with 1:2 patient ratios
• Proficiency in critical care skills including ventilator management, cardiac drip titration, post-cardiac surgery care, arterial line management, and hemodynamic monitoring
• Must reside outside 50-mile local radius
