Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular ICU day shift position requiring critical care and open heart recovery experience.

Details

• Critical Care-Cardiovascular ICU with 8 beds
• Patient ratio ranges from 1:1 to 1:3
• Post-surgical management for cardiothoracic surgery, vascular surgery, thoracotomies, TAVRs, and post-complex PCI interventions
• Involves post-open heart and post-cardiac procedure recovery
• Performs central line, arterial line, and chest tube placements
• Uses Edwards Monitoring, GE Monitoring, and Swan-Ganz catheters
• Day shift schedule from 06:45 to 19:15
• 13-week assignment

Requirements

• Active RN license (IN or Compact) required
• Current BLS and ACLS certification through AHA
• Minimum 2 years of critical care/cardiac critical care experience required
• Open heart recovery and post-cardiac procedure recovery experience required
• Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start
• Must have a US Social Security Number and US home address

• Provide post-surgical and post-procedural care to complex cardiovascular patients
• Radius rule applies, allowing local candidates at a reduced rate that varies by state
