1. Lake Havasu (Boat & Water Activities)
- Distance: Right in Lake Havasu City
- What to Do: Besides the famous London Bridge, Lake Havasu is great for boating, jet skiing, paddleboarding, and fishing. The lake offers plenty of opportunities to enjoy the water and breathtaking desert scenery.
2. London Bridge
- Distance: Right in Lake Havasu City
- What to Do: Take a stroll across the world-famous London Bridge, which was relocated here from England. The surrounding area is full of shops and restaurants, and you can learn about the bridge’s history at the visitor center.
3. Havasu National Wildlife Refuge
- Distance: ~45 minutes south
- What to Do: Perfect for birdwatching, hiking, and fishing. The refuge is home to various species of birds and wildlife, and you can kayak or boat along the Colorado River.
4. Bill Williams River National Wildlife Refuge
- Distance: ~1 hour south
- What to Do: A beautiful spot for kayaking, hiking, and wildlife photography. It’s also an ideal place for camping and stargazing.
5. Topock Gorge
- Distance: ~1.5 hours south
- What to Do: A scenic part of the Colorado River, perfect for boating, kayaking, and enjoying the towering cliffs and desert landscape. The gorge is also a good spot for birdwatching.
6. Grand Canyon West
- Distance: ~3 hours northeast
- What to Do: Take a helicopter ride, hike, or just enjoy the awe-inspiring views at this section of the Grand Canyon. The Skywalk, a glass bridge, offers incredible views of the canyon.
7. Antelope Canyon

- What to Do: Known for its stunning sandstone formations and light beams, Antelope Canyon is a photographer’s paradise. You can tour this slot canyon with a local guide.
8. Sedona
- Distance: ~3.5 hours northeast
- What to Do: Explore the red rock landscapes, go hiking, or take a jeep tour. Sedona is also famous for its vortex sites, which are thought to have spiritual and healing properties.
