Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license in hand
• 1+ year of ICU experience required; 2 years of CVICU experience preferred
• BLS and ACLS required
• NIHSS certification required
• Epic charting experience required
• Experience with cardiac ICU patient ratios and high-acuity care
• Strong clinical background in ventilator management, telemetry, hemodynamic monitoring, and vasoactive drips
• Ability to float to comparable or lower-acuity units as needed
• Previous travel nurse experience preferred
• Must be comfortable with rotating holidays and weekend shifts

Responsibilities

• Provide expert care to adult CVICU patients with complex cardiac, vascular, and thoracic conditions
• Monitor and manage patients requiring advanced therapies such as ECMO, LVAD/RVAD support, IABP, Impella, CRRT, and Swan Ganz monitoring
• Administer and titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips per protocol
• Perform comprehensive assessments and respond quickly to changes in patient condition
• Collaborate with respiratory therapy, pharmacy, physical therapy, radiology, and rapid response teams
• Support post-operative cardiac surgery patients and manage critical interventions
• Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and follow unit standards for quality care
• Float within the organization as needed to support patient care
• Promote a safe, patient-centered environment while delivering high-level critical care
