Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced CVICU RN for a cardiac surgery program with direct primary recovery experience and advanced hemodynamic monitoring skills required.

Details

• 4-bed CVICU unit supporting a new cardiac surgery program
• Patient ratios of 1:1 for immediate post-surgical patients and 1:2 for POD 1-3
• Primary nursing care model with unit staffing support
• Uses Meditech Expanse for documentation
• Scheduled 36 hours per week with 3 weekend shifts every 4-week period
• Floating required at the same patient ratio as the unit floated to
• 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM

Requirements

• Active RN license, VA state or compact license required
• ACLS certification required
• NIH Stroke Certification required for CVICU
• 2 years of RN experience required, including 1-2 years of fresh cardiac surgery patient care with direct primary recovery experience
• Advanced skills required: balloon pump, Impella training, and Hemosphere or Acumen monitoring experience
• US SSN and date of birth required for consideration
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Provide direct recovery care to fresh cardiac surgery patients within a newly launched cardiac surgery program
• Navy blue scrubs required per unit dress code
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted
• First-time travelers may be considered if meeting experience requirements
