Description

American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for a CVICU position on night shift, requiring an active OH or compact RN license and 1 year of specialty experience.

Details

• Work in the Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) of a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00pm-7:30am
• Required to work at least every other holiday
• ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment completed during orientation, with acceptable scores required (maximum 2 attempts)

Requirements

• Active OH RN license or compact license in hand at time of consideration
• Current AHA or American Red Cross certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 1 year of combined permanent experience in CVICU specialty required
• One professional reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty required, from an assignment worked within the past 12 months
• No open background check cases or license hits accepted

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing to cardiovascular ICU patients
• Locals accepted at the same bill rate
• Nurses are currently exempt from the facility's nicotine-free requirement
• COVID-19 and flu vaccines required, with medical/religious exemptions only
• Permanent and per diem candidates cannot return to Cleveland Clinic hospitals for 1 year from their previous end date
• BCI/FBI fingerprinting must be completed within 48 hours of signing contract
• Assignments may be extended up to 18 consecutive months, after which a 6-month break is required unless deferred by facility approval
• Travelers on continuous contract for 1 year or returning in a subsequent year may be required to complete Cleveland Clinic's Annual Hands-On Competency training
