Job Details

• Setting: Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU)
• Location: Spokane, Washington
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,160 - $2,270
• Shift: 12-hour nights
• Schedule: 3 shifts per week; 36 hours per week
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Orientation: 36 hours
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Float Requirement: May float between units as needed
• Charting System: Epic
• Patient Ratios: 1:1 and 1:2

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of CVICU experience required
• Current RN license in Washington or a compact state, active at the time of submission
• ACLS and BLS required
• CCRN certification preferred
• Experience with Epic preferred
• Strong critical care nursing skills with cardiac and post-surgical ICU patients
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and a flexible travel schedule

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric cardiovascular ICU patients
• Care for patients recovering from open heart surgery, vascular surgery, post-MI cases, cardiogenic shock, and complex ICU overflow diagnoses
• Monitor and manage advanced cardiac and critical care therapies including pressors, IABP, Impella, VAD, CRRT, pacing wires, and ventilator support
• Perform ongoing assessment, documentation, and interventions using Epic
• Collaborate closely with physicians, respiratory therapy, IV teams, pharmacy, and other support services
• Adapt quickly to changing patient needs while maintaining excellent safety, quality, and clinical standards
