Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a CVICU position requiring CRRT, Swan-Ganz, and mechanical circulatory support experience.

Details

• Work in the Cardiovascular Surgical ICU (CVICU) of a hospital environment
• Rotating shifts available, including nights or rotating day/night schedules
• Day shift 3x12 hours (7:00-19:30) or night shift 3x12 hours (19:00-7:00)
• Care for post cardiac surgery patients (not directly from the OR)
• Uses EPIC charting system

Requirements

• Active RN license (Utah or Compact) required, pending license accepted but must be in hand prior to start
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of CVICU RN experience required
• Required experience with CRRT, Swan-Ganz, and mechanical circulatory support (MCS) including Impella, IABP, LVAD/RVAD, and ECMO
• EPIC charting experience required
• Skilled in arterial line management, central line care, PICC line management, and blood product administration
• Skilled in ventilator management, ABG interpretation, and BiPAP/CPAP management
• Skilled in titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips, continuous IV sedation, and procedural sedation monitoring
• Skilled in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias and cardiac monitoring
• Experience managing patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure

Additional Information

• Up to 10 days RTO available per 13-week contract, with additional RTO available proportionally for longer contract lengths
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Previous full-time employees of the facility are not eligible to return as travelers under any circumstances
• Local candidates are not accepted; candidates must reside at least 100 miles from the facility, outside the state of Utah
