Job Summary Operating Room Open Heart (OR OH) nurse position located in the specified area. This role involves responding to cardiac emergencies, scrub and circulator duties across various units, and floating between facilities based on skill sets. The assignment includes on-call hours, weekend coverage, and adherence to designated schedules.
Job Details
Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per day, minimum of 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications: Certifications include BLS; minimum of 2 years of experience in operating room open heart surgeries; current valid licensure with a valid state license (compact license accepted); at least 1 year of travel or community hospital experience; experience with charting system Epic.
Preferred Qualifications: Prior scrub experience in cardiac surgery; experience with intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP), ventricular assist devices (LVAD/RVAD), and hybrid OR procedures.
Float: Float rotation may be required, including to sister facilities. Candidates must have a vehicle for this assignment.
Additional Information:
On-call required and weekends, including one weekend per month, from 0600 Saturday to 0600 Monday.
Must be willing to work three out of five major holidays, with all scheduling and time-off requests submitted during the application process.
Candidates should respond to questions regarding prior experience at any Providence facilities, including location and dates worked, and submit two references covering at least 1 year within the last 3 years prior to start.
The assignment requires compliance with module completion and adherence to facility policies regarding floating and schedule flexibility.
