Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) Nurse specializing in open heart procedures is needed in Augusta, Georgia. This role involves supporting the organizations open heart program with a focus on circulating and scrub roles in cardiovascular surgery. The position requires working weekday daytime shifts within a dynamic surgical team environment.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Monday through Friday from 6:00 am to 4:30 pm, with four 10-hour shifts per week, and an expectation to cover seven call shifts in a six-week period.
  • Required Qualifications: All certifications are required upon hire, including Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and valid Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in a single state or multi-state compact. Candidates should have at least 2 years of open heart circulating experience, with prior travel experience in an open-heart Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) setting preferred.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience in cardiovascular specialties to serve as a team leader and resource, excellent circulating skills, dual scrub and circulating roles, and a thorough knowledge of current trends and techniques in cardiovascular surgery.
  • Additional Information: Electronic handling of patient information, the ability to multi-task with critical thinking, effective communication skills, and flexibility to work various hours including call shifts are required. The candidate must demonstrate excellent organizational skills, attendance, and punctuality.
