Job Summary Operating Room Advanced Heart (OR OH) Specialist in Baltimore, MD. This position involves providing perioperative nursing care in a cardiac operating room setting, supporting complex open-heart procedures. The role requires collaborative teamwork and adherence to safety and clinical standards to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Job Details
Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: Current RN licensure, 3+ years of Operating Room experience, current Cardiac Operating Room experience, BLS certification, and proficiency with EPIC electronic health record system.
Schedule: Two shift options available a 40-hour week with four 10-hour shifts from 11:00 am to 9:30 pm, or a 36-hour week with three 12-hour shifts, rotating start times from 6:30 am to 9:00 am, with a rotating day off.
Additional Responsibilities: Circulates and scrubs during cardiac surgeries, supporting EPIC roles and ensuring compliance with safety protocols. Will participate in on-call rotations, with six call periods per six-week schedule, covering weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
Submission Requirements: Candidates must be able to clear the onboarding process by the Thursday prior to the start date.
Clinician Experience: Minimum of 0 years of experience required.
Special Notes: Previous employment with any Johns Hopkins facility must be disclosed and verified prior to offer. No block scheduling; shifts and days off are based on unit needs and rotation.
