Job Summary Operating Room Open Heart RN Location: Not Specified. This position involves providing specialized cardiac, vascular, and thoracic surgical care in a teaching hospital with a Level 1 Trauma designation. The role requires independent practice and ability to work within a multidisciplinary team within a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
Job Details
Position Description: RN CVOR
Qualifications: RN license, BLS certification, and a minimum of 2 years of CVOR experience. Experience with adult cardiac, vascular, and thoracic surgery is required; pediatric experience is preferred. Robotic and hybrid OR experience are a plus. EPIC experience preferred.
Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
Required Qualifications: RN license, BLS certification, 2 years CVOR experience, ability to work independently, familiarity with EPIC EMR, strong CVOR experience, willingness to support adult cardiac, vascular, and thoracic surgeries.
Additional Information: Support within the department includes clinical supervision and charge responsibilities. The role may support cross-unit coverage, with possible consideration for support at Pineville CVOR, though unlikely. Orientation depends on experience. The unit culture is described as good, with free parking available. Scrub attire is personal for commute, hospital-issued in the OR.
Schedule flexibility: Includes weekend rotation, about once per week on call, with a 1-hour callback time.
