Job Summary:
Operating Room Open Heart Nurse in Charleston, South Carolina. This position involves specialty surgical procedures requiring thoracic and vascular experience, including heart and valve replacements. The role includes working in a fast-paced environment with a focus on cardiac, neuro, trauma, and robotic surgeries, supporting patient care in a dedicated unit with advanced equipment.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Dayshift with 10-hour shifts, minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, thoracic and vascular surgical experience including heart and valve replacements, completion of BLS certification, at least 1 year of clinical experience, and ability to work in the United States.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with XI robotic surgery and advanced cardiac procedures.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: The surgical unit features advanced technology including XI Robot, Mako joint robot, and employs Meditech documentation system. The standard team includes 1RN/1CST per room, with dedicated cardiac and thoracic staff. The unit operates additional staff such as a charge RN and anesthesia coverage, providing a collaborative environment for complex surgical care. The role includes participation in rotating weekend and holiday shifts per hospital policy, with 3 call shifts every 4 weeks.
