Job Summary:
Operating Room Open Heart (OR OH) at a short-term acute care facility located in Saint Louis, Missouri. This position involves providing specialized cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgical assistance within a fast-paced, high-level trauma environment. The role requires experience in open heart procedures, with flexible scheduling and the ability to float within the service line.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 12-hour shifts, start date: 08/31/2026, minimum hours per week: 36
- Required Qualifications: 2 years of operating room experience with open heart surgery, scrub and circulating experience in cardiac, thoracic, and vascular cases, BLS and ACLS certifications, Missouri or compact license in hand at time of submittal, willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed, and must have sufficient level 1 trauma experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: BSN degree, experience with cardiac transplant procedures and heart-lung transplant experience for night shifts.
- Additional Information: Must be able to enter missing instruments into the CensiTrac system; travel within scope within the service line is required; no local candidates within 75 miles accepted; RTO requests are limited to a maximum of 7 days.
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS.
- Special Equipment: Experience with heart and lung transplants is needed for night shift. Scrub experience in cardiovascular surgery is required.
- Parking and Orientation: Parking passes available; orientation held at specified location; wear scrubs.
- Trauma and Case Experience: Level I trauma experience required; fast-paced environment with emergent cases; experience with complex cardiovascular and transplant procedures needed.
