Job Summary: Operating Room Open Heart (OR OH) nurse opportunity in a well-established healthcare facility. This position involves providing specialized perioperative care for cardiac surgery patients within an acute hospital setting. The role requires a dedicated professional comfortable working in a high-acuity environment, supporting complex cardiac procedures and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Job Details:
Schedule: 10-hour shifts, Days, minimum of 40 hours per week
Required Qualifications: Valid state license (compact license accepted), at least 1 year of experience in operating room or open heart surgery, certifications including Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and skills specified as per Unrestricted Device Identification (UDI) guidelines.
Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience in adult open heart or cardiac surgery units, familiarity with Epic charting system, and certification from recognized professional organizations.
Float: Float: Float rotation may be required within scope to meet facility needs.

Start date: 10/05/2026
End date: 01/04/2027
Candidate must be able to work at least 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve, New Years Day).
All RTO requests must be included with the application and approved prior to start.
Candidates must have stable availability for the duration of the contract to ensure continuous patient care delivery.
