Job Summary:
Operating Room Open Heart Specialist in the region. This position involves providing specialized surgical care within a fast-paced cardiac, thoracic, and vascular environment, primarily focusing on open heart and transplant cases. The role requires supporting emergent procedures and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, with rotating start times.
• Required Qualifications: Valid license in the applicable state, 2 years of operating room open heart experience, including cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgeries. Certification in BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support). Experience with scrub and circulating roles in cardiac surgery, specifically with transplant and complex vascular procedures.
• Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience with heart and lung transplant cases and familiarity with electronic charting systems, including EPIC.
• Float: Will float within the service line to meet facility needs.
• Additional Information:
  • Must have sufficient level 1 trauma experience.
  • Experience with vascular open and endovascular procedures, Whipples pancreatic surgeries, and transplant surgeries preferred.
  • Must have scrub and circulate experience specific to cardiovascular surgeries.
  • This is a rotating shift position with possible call shifts based on unit needs.
  • Ensure adherence to infection control and safety protocols as outlined during orientation.
  • Parking passes available; specific orientation parking instructions apply.
  • No more than 7 days of RTO permitted; all scheduling requests must be finalized at submission.
